My thoughts.
I found this book very very good, it was actually one of the best books i read. It showed so much in emotion, and it made me keep reading because it was from a actual person who actually went through the holocaust, not a Historian ect. Elie cared so much about his family, he would do whatever he really wanted to keep them all together. His dad was a great guy with courage. The book included so much detail, stuff that i've never heard about until i read the book " Night " . It starts from the very begining on how they were moved to the ghetto's, then to the cattle carts, and then to camps. It gave us perfect detail that we could imagine the enviroment they were living in.
The book all starts in the home town where Elie is, then it goes to how they were moved to ghetto's. It then goes to cattle carts, and how their was that one crazy woman who wouldn't shut up the whole trip, and everybody in the cart thought she was mad/sick. Then it goes to the camp, where Eli lost his mom and sisters, Elie tried so hard to stay with his dad through all that, and he did. They were so tired, when they first got to the camp from the long vouge. The first three days at the camp they thought it was easy, they didn't do anything but sleep eat and drink. Then the real work started they seperated them into groups of working forces. Months passed Elie and his father were still their, no hope but moved to another camps. Then skipping foward, the war front was getting closer and closer to the camps, so they evactuated them during nights. Thousands and Thousands. People had to run long nights, if they didn't they were shot. They rested once i believe, and that wasn't for a extent amount of time. When they arrived to the last camp, Elie's dad was weak, sick and tired, He went and laid around a bunch of dead corps and said they were "sleeping" when they were dead. Elie from then on , try to take care of his dad, giving him his soup, And ration of bread. But shortly after Elie's dad was sent to the creamatium. Elie from then on worried about himself, he didn't care he was for himself. The war front was coming faster and faster, The Germans were going to liquidate the last camp. They started evacuating everybody, and thousands and thousands. When Elie was up to get shipped out, a veteran told Elie to go back to his barrak that the war front would be here soon to rescue them . The war at the camp didn't last long Elie Said, Sortly after the fire was stopped the first american tank was at the Camps doors.
Elie was sent to the hospital, because he was so sick. When he arrived at the hospital he looked at himself in the mirror. It was the first time he had looked at himself since he was in the ghetto's. He stayed in the hospital for two weeks and lived his life telling this amazing story.
