My survivor of the Holocaust, Eva Galler.
Meet Eva Galler, a survivor from the Holocaust.
Eva and her family, along with many others were in a cattle cart. People were eger to get out of the cattle cart. They started breaking little glass windows, and started jumping off the transport. Eva's dad turned and told Eva that she needed to jump, Her and her other sibilings, One 15 one 16. They were the oldest if they made it then that would be great, her dad stayed on the cattle cart with the younger kids, to keep them safe.
Eva(17) jumped off the cattle cart, so did her brother(15) and sister(16). right after she jumped off the cattle cart, she took off the yellow star. She promised herself she would never again wear a yellow star again. After she took of the star, she turned and looked around to see if she knew anybody who jumped and survived, she found her sister and brother both dead. While that was sad, she did find one of her friends that surived jumping.
They were two people who survived that train, but many people jumped. She went under fake name so she wouldn't get caught as a jew, she then was a polish girl who worked on a Germany farm under a fake name. pretended that she was Catholic and escaped until the end of the war.
